Zion Photos Update 1

Posted November 3, 2007

I have updated the following galleries with photos from my recent trip to Zion:

  • Abstract and Conceptual
  • Nature
  • Landscapes

I am still processing my photos and will have more updates to come, but this update includes all of my photos from the Subway, which is on the Left Fork of the Virgin River within Zion National Park. A back country permit is required to undertake this hike and the hike isn’t for the faint of heart. There is a lot of scrambling over boulders, searching for the trail, and ascending a 800-1000 foot mountainside to get to the parking lot. The inside of the Subway, though, including the staircase falls and “the crack”, are incredibly beautiful.

Future updates will have more photos from the Narrows, as well as various other photos taken on the trip.

Zion National Park Photos to Be Added

I have returned from my trip to Zion National Park. The trip was a hiking/photography trip centered around the Zion Narrows and the Subway. We were there at nearly peak time for the autumn leaves and I am pleased with several of the photographs I took while there. I’ll be updating the galleries with my photos as I finish processing them and will post quick updates to the news section as I post the photos to the galleries.

I’ve updated the website successfully and have moved it from a blog-based site to a gallery-based site. I like the new layout because it is much cleaner and less distracting than the old layout. Everything seems to be working properly, but if you see anything that isn’t working, please let me know.
