Yesterday the family went with me to scout some photography and camping spots. We hit a few spots off the beaten path in the Uinta mountains, just off Mirror Lake Highway (Highway 150). I recently replaced my trusty 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 2010 FJ Cruiser so it has been fun to take it out on some scouting trips. Below are some photos of the FJ on the trail to Murdoch Basin.

These photos don’t show it, but the trail is extremely rocky as you get higher up. If you go there, make sure you have good off-roading tires on your vehicle, otherwise you’ll almost assuredly get a punctured tire.

There are also some incredible views of the valley down below. I’ll have to come back when there is good lighting to see what I can capture.
